Do you know your real self? Who are you? Who am I?
As many of you remember, I embarked on an eight day meditation retreat at the beginning of the month. It was all about knowing myself, finding out who I really am, besides my role as a friend, coach, employee, mother, daughter, and a wife. It’s not the role I played, but I asked myself... Who am I?

Why Self Care Makes You A Better Person
Friday Jul 02, 2021
Friday Jul 02, 2021
What are my needs? How do I do self care? Why is this important to me?
Self care is as vital as putting food into our body. If we know how to take care of our needs, then we grow and flourish, bringing out a better awareness of ourselves.
In addition, understanding psychological needs based on emotions is in our own hands. If we understand and if we show that we understand, then we love, and the situation will change and will get better.
It is important to listen to ourselves more. We need to be in charge of ourselves and our spaces. Self care is taking care of our needs and facilitating the environment. Listen to your heart, mind and body.
Having an uninterrupted downtime is essential to our wellbeing, especially to our brains. It is like the food we eat. Everybody needs some time to be on their own. It is paramount to restart, gear up and influence the environment.
In today’s episode, Mital will go into different psychological needs based on the emotions we have. We’ll look at some examples of self care that we can do for each of these basic needs.

Thursday Jun 24, 2021
Why do we delay things we do when we can finish them on time? When can we get to fulfill this dream project when we are caught scrolling to our friend's vacation pictures? Why are we procrastinating? What is the root cause of procrastination?
Procrastination is everyone's relatable story. However this culprit hits you, have you ever thought about where this comes from? Putting things off intentionally is a lack of knowledge, according to my personal coach. But the real procrastination comes from self doubt. These annoying thoughts of "we're not good enough", "we can't solve a problem" or "we can't solve a hurdle", are signs of self-doubt. It is a sign of procrastination.
How can we deal with this? That’s what I’ll be talking about in today’s episode of Raise To Rise!

Friday Jun 18, 2021
Do you ever feel like children have been put on this planet just to test our patience? If so, you are not alone. Although we know that screaming at our children might make us feel good in the short term, it doesn't do any good for us or our children in the long term.

In today’s episode, we learn that it is all in the mindset and self-love. One important thing that we need to realize is that parenting is not all about our children. How can we raise a resilient, confident and happy child?
Friday Jun 11, 2021
Friday Jun 11, 2021
We all know that we all are different, we all are unique, including our children. Even though we're all connected through blood, we all possess different personalities. And due to that, we all deal with pain differently. It's when we recognize this, our perspective and empathy increases. Empathy and resilience are some of the skills and values that we need in our kids' lives, for them to be resilient, confident and happy in their life.
Imagine we were in the park with our kid, and then suddenly, he or she just trips and starts crying. Our response is we rush to their rescue. We take them into our arms, and we try to comfort them. And then after a while they're back on their feet again, and they're playing again. It seems like it's a normal thing for them, right? Our parenting instinct is always to avert any pain or failure because we don't want them to feel like they're losers or we don't want them to be deprived of something or feel that they lost. And so we just fulfil their wishes.
In this episode, we are going to shift this a little towards conscious parenting. I'm going to share with you three ways to raise a resilient, confident and a happy kid.

Setting clear limits for our kids to feel safe
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Friday Jun 04, 2021
How can you respond when a child deliberately does something like throw a block at your head, draws on the couch, pinches the brother?
When kids push boundaries and our limits, many of us get overwhelmed, annoyed, terrified, even up to the limit where we really want to punish our children to make them listen. This can all be so consuming and feels hard at times.
However, research has shown that punishments are actually very counterproductive, hurtful, and harmful. These yelling, spanking, shaming and other forms of punishment actually teach nothing to our kids. They might teach kids to obey, but out of guilt or fear, which can cause big problems like anxiety and depression down the road. When they no longer fear us, they'll no longer have a reason to cooperate or listen.
So they will likely keep pushing our limits and disobeying not listening, ignoring us acting out until we respond with the clear limits. We need to set clear limits, in order for them to feel safe.
In today's episode, I am going to share three steps on how to respond in situations where you kids are throwing and hitting.

Leanne is a mentor, guide, teacher, and a coach. Through her years of teaching children and teenagers, she realized that it’s important from a young age to encourage children to tap into THEIR potential (not the parents) by encouraging them to have a voice.
In her experience, especially at the highschool level, children are choosing careers that are based on other people’s expectations and not their own.
More and more today children are afraid of failure because of helicopter parents who have the best intentions but need to see the true value in failure and realize that’s it’s okk..Failure has become a buzzword for negativity when really it is truly growth. She believes that When children are not parented to think, years later they realize that they never liked their career choice, life path, etc. Because they never made the decision in the first place.
