Teaching Our Children The Value Of Failure
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Failure is devastating. There is nothing worse than watching our most significant project fail. You may have spent weeks and even months working on a project that fails. Or you have a great idea but get shut down. And I think failure is an experience we need to share with our kids.
In this episode, I would like to share why failure doesn't mean that you failed or you didn't accomplish what you wanted. Failure means you tried something. You tried something and you weren't afraid. I wanted to share this learning with my kids, about how failure is essential to success and how we can overcome our fear of it.

How Pre-planning Ended Our Morning Struggles
Friday Jun 17, 2022
Friday Jun 17, 2022
The ability to choose and change is a gift, especially since so many of our habits and identities that we're walking around with, we're just not consciously chosen by us. What do I mean by that?
As parents, we consciously want to show our children to be positive. We want to show them that it’s a choice and that’s what we want to model. But sometimes, life just happens. Instances such as kids are struggling to get up in the morning, they fuss about the clothes they’ll wear or they keep complaining about breakfast. As much as you want to be that parent who smiles and stays happy, you can still feel the pressure and stress and it takes away your joy.
But what if I say that it doesn't have to be this way? What if I say that there is an end to the struggle? What if I say that I have a solution for you?
In this episode, I want to share with you how I dealt with these struggles through pre-planning.

What Should You Do When You Feel Triggered?
Friday May 27, 2022
Friday May 27, 2022
Do you ever feel triggered by your kids' behaviors or by something someone said to you? I know I certainly do. And what can we do when we feel triggered? Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone could just give us a magic pill that solved what to do when we feel triggered?
There's no magic pill, but fortunately, there are some steps that we can take to prepare for the inevitable triggers of panic. There are ways to prevent triggers and practice we can do to face these challenges instead of running away from these challenges.
In this episode, I would like to share with you what you can do when you feel triggered. How to be proactive and practices you can do to avoid triggers for you and your child.

Teaching Our Kids About Mindset
Friday May 20, 2022
Friday May 20, 2022
I believe our mindset shapes whether we believe we can learn, change and grow or not. I’m saying this because I want to teach my children about mindset even as young as they are. Growing up, kids go through a lot of changes not only physically but most especially mentally and emotionally. And I believe mindset is key to addressing every issue they can encounter growing up.
In this episode, I would like to share with you how we can teach our kids about mindset. There are two kinds of mindsets, a fixed mindset, and a growth mindset. I would like to share my views because it's not only important to teach our kids this whole concept of mindset, but it's so important for us parents to model the right behavior for our kids. Let’s dive into knowing their differences and how we can help our children learn and improve their mindsets.

Friday May 13, 2022
Friday May 13, 2022
Last weekend, we celebrated Mother’s Day. And all over social media, moms from different parts of the world posted about their celebrations, reflections, joy, and even grief for the moms who lost a child.
In this episode, I would like to discuss how being enough is all we need as a person, a parent, and a mother. We all are good enough, we just need to tap into it.

It Takes 10,000 Hours
Friday May 06, 2022
Friday May 06, 2022
Did you know that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master something? Yes, you heard that right. It takes about 10,000 hours of practice to achieve a world class mastery of anything.
This information came from the book Outliers, and the author, Malcolm Gladwell, mentioned that talents are certainly a key ingredient in the recipe for success, but there is also another key which is practice.
In this episode, I’d like to share with you the perspective of why there’s no such thing as perfection. As it was said in the book, 10,000 hours is the minimum to be a master of something, and most of us will probably not have the time or spend this time to be an expert. And just like in parenting, we need to throw away this notion of being the perfect parent, instead we should replace it with progressing.

How To Discipline Our Children In A Positive Manner
Friday Apr 29, 2022
Friday Apr 29, 2022
Disciplining a child can be a challenge, and sometimes it can be emotionally draining.
As kids are growing up, their emotions and attitudes are just developing. And sometimes they are still not able to control their emotions. Things as simple as doing chores can cause arguments and pressure in our relationship with them. Therefore, it's so essential that we discipline our children in a positive manner.
In this episode, I wanted to share what I've learned from the book No-Drama Discipline: The Whole-Brain Way to Calm the Chaos and Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind. A research, science, and spiritual based book that talks about how to discipline our children. Let's dive a little deeper into how we can positively discipline our children to take on certain habits for their physical, mental, developmental well-being.
